A Thanksgiving Message from Mayor-Elect Muriel Bowser

“As Washingtonians, we have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. I am thankful to those doing their part to make the District a better, more compassionate city – especially those who spend their Thanksgiving volunteering, serving others, or bringing food and comfort to a friend or neighbor. These selfless and thoughtful acts make me proud to be the next mayor of my hometown.

“On this Thanksgiving, I hope you can take some time to give back to those that need it most – and all it takes is the gift of a meal, some time, or a small donation.
