Single-Lane Closures to Occur on the 16th Street Bridge over Military Road, NW, During the Weekends in February

(Washington, DC) As a part of the 16th Street Bridge over Military Road, NW, replacement project in Ward 4, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close one lane in each direction on the 16th Street Bridge during nights on weekends from February 13 until March 9.

Each closure will begin on Friday at 7 pm and end the following Monday at 5:30 am on the following weekends:

  •         Friday, February 13 to Monday, February 16;
  •         Friday, February 20 to Monday, February 23;
  •         Friday, February 27 to Monday, March 2; and
  •         Friday, March 6 to Monday, March 9.

Motorists should anticipate moderate to heavy delays due to the closures.

The 16th Street Bridge over Military Road, NW, project is needed to replace the 16th Street Bridge, and to make median barrier and street light improvements on Military Road. For further information, visit the website, http://www.16thandmilitary.com/.
