Mayor Bowser to Review Findings of Independent Auditor Report on Attendance and Graduation Outcomes
(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Tuesday, January 16, at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will review the findings from an independent audit conducted by Alvarez & Marsal regarding District-wide policies on attendance and graduation outcomes, a review overseen by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). The Mayor will be joined by State Superintendent of Education Hanseul Kang and Chancellor of DC Public Schools Antwan Wilson.
In December, Mayor Bowser signed a Mayor’s Order directing OSSE, DC’s state education department and regulator, to review district-wide policies and investigate specific allegations at the school level.
