Mayor Bowser to Participate in Aspen Institute Forum on Innovation

(Washington, DC) – On Monday, Mayor Muriel Bowser will join author and Aspen Institute President and CEO Walter Isaacson for a one-on-one discussion on the importance of connecting underserved communities to technology and innovation in the District of Columbia.

The conversation coincides with the launch of the Aspen Institute Center for Innovation which aims to bridge the gap between innovators and underserved neighborhoods, so that innovators focus more attention on community challenges and neighborhood residents can bring their own groundbreaking ideas to life.

This event comes at the conclusion of innoMAYtion, Mayor Bowser’s month-long initiative to showcase innovative programs that will create jobs, engage residents, and position the District as a hub of innovation.
