Mayor Bowser to Kick Off #BacktoBasicsDC Week with Start of DC Summer Camps and DC Summer Meals Program
Washington, DC – Today, at 11:30 am, Mayor Bowser will kick off #BacktoBasicsDC Week by celebrating first day of summer camps in the District and the start of the DC Summer Meals Program.
This year, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will operate summer camps at 62 locations with a total of 112 types of camps. DPR fills over 3,000 slots per two-week session.
