Mayor Bowser to Join Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton to Urge Congress to Restore DC Delegate’s Vote

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Tuesday, Mayor Bowser will join Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and Director of the Mayor’s Office of Veterans Affairs Ely S. Ross to urge the 115th Congress to restore the DC delegate’s vote in the Committee of the Whole. The Committee of the Whole vote would allow DC’s delegate to vote on amendments on the House floor. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton has been able to vote in three Congresses: the 103rd, 110th, and 111th Congresses, but has not been permitted to vote since the start of the 112th Congress in 2011.
