Mayor Bowser to Cut Ribbon on Edgewood Recreation Center
(Washington, DC) – On Saturday, December 21, at 11:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will cut the ribbon on the new Edgewood Recreation Center, a $20.9 million project culminating in a 16,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility.
This project included demolishing the previous field house, built in 1947, and the construction of a new, multi-level recreation center. The modernized center features a rooftop urban farm and fitness center, and includes ADA-accessible routes, a gymnasium, and new playgrounds and equipment.
