(Washington, DC) – On Wednesday, October 9 at 7:45 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will join U.S. Deputy Transportation Secretary Polly Trottenberg and District Department of Transportation (DDOT) Director Sharon Kershbaum to participate in a Walk & Roll to School Day celebration at Lincoln Park in Ward 6. 
 
As a part of the 28th Annual National Walk & Roll to School Day, this event hosted by the Ward 6 Public Schools Parent Organization will gather school officials, parents, families, and students from 20 DC Public Schools and public charter schools, as well as representatives from local and national organizations and agencies, to celebrate the importance of safe, healthy transportation options and the fun of active transportation.
