Mayor Bowser to Announce Year of Historic Investments in Affordable Housing at Groundbreaking of Delta Towers for Seniors

Washington, DC – On Monday, October 1, at 12 pm, Mayor Bowser will announce a record investment in affordable housing for DC residents at the groundbreaking of Delta Towers, a 100 percent affordable community with units set aside for seniors. For three straight years, Mayor Bowser has exceeded her commitment of $100 million to the Housing Production Trust Fund (HPTF), a major tool used to produce and preserve affordable housing in the District of Columbia.

This announcement and groundbreaking concludes #RootstoRoofs Housing Week, a series of events highlighting the Bowser Administration’s progress in creating and preserving affordable housing options across the District. The variety of options showcases the Mayor’s commitment to providing all Washingtonians a fair shot and a pathway to the middle class.
