Mayor Bowser to Announce Summer Initiatives for DC Youth
(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Thursday, May 25, at 11:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will highlight camps, services, and programming for DC families to engage in throughout the summer. This year, the Department of Parks and Recreations, Metropolitan Police Department, and the Deputy Mayor’s Office for Health and Human Services will coordinate resources to enhance summer learning activities for DC youth.
The Bowser Administration has hundreds of activities lined up for the summer, including outdoor festivals, summer camps, educational programs, free summer meals, and youth employment initiatives. Additional information can be found at summer.dc.gov, an interactive website that lists events hosted by the Bowser Administration and the public.
